Seip seeks change

Cool and calm, he walks down the hall. One of the candidates for co-presidency, Brandon Seip, has determination in his eyes. With his platform grasped firmly in both hands and his campaign group planted resolutely behind him, he marches forward, toward whatever fate may bring.

"Changing things," Brandon said, "Yeah, changing things and representing the school." That's the job he signed up for. Whether or not he gets it is up to the voters.

"The main thing I'm aiming for is more fun. And I'm not just talking about sports. Plays, Skills Canada, everything" Brandon said, "Schoolwide support for everything."

However, Brandon has ideas for sports as well. One of his main ideas is to restart a group called the Fitness Intramurals. Fitness intramurals are a league where you play something different each week. "One day you'd play Soccer and the next Volleyball." He said with a smile.

"I wouldn't know who to choose as a co-pres next to me. I know them all and they are all great people." Brandon said. While they all have similar platforms, Brandon says that he stands out from the crowd by leading through example. "I wasn't so outgoing in the past. I've had to work on being more comfortable around people." Now He's not afraid to tell people things they don't want to hear, and says that it's one of his greatest strengths.

His friend Cole Martin jokingly says Brandon's greatest strength is in his calf muscles. However Cole quickly attempts to put Brandon in a kinder light. "He's Driven to be good at everything except being bad." Cole said. If Cole had his way, He would be the co-pres alongside Brandon.

"I got great support from my campaign team and my friends," Brandon said, "I hope that people I've played on teams with will support me as well."

School is meant to be fun. And if Brandon Seip has his way, He'll make sure there is more of it. Fun that is. Promising more School might cut off his campaign at the polls.
